Can You Really Make Money With Google?
I imagine this question is asked many times each and every day by many, many persons all around the world. Going straight to the point, my answer is yes, you can, and in many different ways.
I have to immediately add something extremely important, this is not easy nor will happen in a few minutes.
And there is another important sentence I want to add before anything else, as in anything else you want to be able to do, there is a learning curve.
This happens if you want to learn how to cook, or how to swim or how to complete levels of video games. You need time, training, and often a source that teaches and shows you how to do things well. And that shows you also what to do and what not to do.
Introduced this important concept I want now to show you the different ways you can use to make money with Google.
The main function of Google that almost any person using the internet knows is its search engine, when you put a keyword or a key phrase in the Google search box and expect to get useful results from the site. What Google shows as results are all links to external sites, not owned or managed by Google itself.
So every second there are persons that own the sites returned by Google as results to the users searches that get visitors from Google search engine services and make money through their sites in different ways. Selling physical and digital products, being paid for offline or online services, renting advertising spaces on their sites, and others.
Well, being in the first results returned by Google for popular search keywords is very important but also very difficult, and there is a big competition going on to appear in those results.
The way to get on those crucial spots is called SEO, which means Search Engine Optimization, and again, it isn’t an easy task.
Thinking of the last way to make money described above we can now talk about two of the main services of Google, named AdWords and AdSense.
AdWords is the service for online advertisers, while AdSense is the service for online publishers.
AdWords allows people to show ads on the same pages of the search results, on the top and on the right of the pages.
The ads are paid per click, and this allows people that have sites that do not show organically in the first results to get anyway in front of the large audience of Google, paying through the AdWords service.
Of course these people will advertise on the AdWords service in order to make money and to get customers, but also here you have to know what you are doing, because there is competition also in the AdWords service, and not always advertisers get to pay back the costs of the service.
Some words about AdSense now.
It’s a free service of Google for online Publisher, allowing people to add the Google AdWords ads to their own sites.
When internet surfers click on those ads the owner of the site and Google share the earnings paid by the AdWords advertisers.
And you can imagine that in order to make some good money from the AdSense service you need many clicks and many visitors too.
